Where we work.
We raise money, tools and volunteer expertise in British Columbia and put them to work with Bweyale Vocational Education in northern Uganda.
Bweyale and Kiryandongo, mid-western Uganda.
Bweyale is a town in Kiryandongo District, on the road between Kampala and Gulu. Beside it lies the Kiryandongo refugee settlement, government-designated land that gives refugee families shelter and plots they can farm.
More than 100,000 refugees now live in the settlement, close to double the number recorded in 2021, driven largely by the war in Sudan. Uganda allows refugees to work and to farm allocated land, so practical skills turn directly into income.

Our partner on the ground.
Bweyale Vocational Education (BVE) is a community-based vocational school beside the settlement. Its team selects students and teaches the trades. We supply what it cannot easily find alone: tools, equipment funding and volunteer tradespeople who train its teachers.

Kamloops, British Columbia.
Our home is Kamloops, in the BC Interior. Six volunteer directors live and work here. They run the foundation, raise money, and review every budget and report before funds go to Bweyale. No director is paid.
What happens here
